Happy Birthday

My grandma, Dorothy Bliss Smith, would have turned 111 years old today.

One of my favorite photos of her is this grinning one with the 2 giant dolls, circa 1918. She's on the left. Colorize and sharpen that photo a little, and it could have been taken in modern times.

I also find this photo of her in the doorway of their home so interesting. Peering straight through time into their March 1913 home near Riverton, Iowa.
