Louise Mathilde Jensen was born in 1882 on the family farm and was the 7th child of Jacob and Ingeborg Jensen.
In her early 20s, she homesteaded near Stamford, South Dakota with her sister, Hilda.
In 1907, she married Ed Anderson when she was 24 and resided in Lincoln County through the births of all 4 of her children - Clarence, Edna, Alta and Edward.
By 1930, they had moved out to the Black Hills, living in Belle Fourche, but made frequent trips to visit her siblings in other parts of South Dakota. She lived there until her death in 1964.
