Jensens, Part 9: Julia

Julia Jonetta Jensen was the second child born to Jacob and Ingeborg. She was born on the new homestead south of Sioux Falls, Dakota Territory in 1871.

Julia married Albert Leighty in 1896 at the age of 25. They had 7 children together and divorced sometime around 1919. She got married again in 1925 to Arthur Stratten. He died in 1933, leaving her a widow. She spent her remaining years living in various places, eventually staying with her sister Louise out in the Black Hills. Julia died in 1947 at the age of 75 and is buried in Belle Fourche, South Dakota.
