We Formidables were so busy at the National Genealogical Society Conference in Richmond, Virginia, that we didn't have time to walk the three blocks to the Library of Virginia.
The Library of Virginia, in its own words, is "the most comprehensive collection of materials on Virginia government, history, and culture available anywhere." It's a great facility in which to conduct archival research, and my days at the library have helped me solve some big genealogical mysteries.
Fortunately, the Library's website is also a fabulous resource. If your family branches reach back into Virginia, be sure that this site is part of your toolkit.
