Below are my great-grandmother Agnes Paulson Jensen on the left and her sister Paluda Paulson Larson in the 1940s. They came to Dakota Territory as young children, but both were born in Oslo, Norway, in the 1870s.
An essential skill when researching family from their native country--whose language is foreign to you--is to have a basic understanding of relevant words in that language. FamilySearch has a great list of genealogical words in a number of different languages. An internet search for "genealogical word list" and the language will yield even more.
The Norwegian word for 'sisters' is 'søstre'.
